Chinese Green Tea
Did the Buddha discover tea...

Did the Buddha discover tea? Many Buddhists believe that he did. What we do know for sure is that a great number of legends surround the discovery and brewing of tea. The first recorded mention of tea was made in China in  the 10th century B.C. Once called the "froth of the liquid jade" by the Chinese philosopher Laozi, tea is today the second "most consumed" beverage in the world, second only to water.

Our Chinese green teas, offerred here, are low in caffeine content (although not caffeine free). As with all of our teas, we advise that brewing instructions are followed carefully. Remember, do not overheat the water when brewing Chinese green tea (or any other green tea). Water heated to a temperature of about 170 degrees F., but certainly no higher than 180 degrees F. is recommended.
