Japanese Green Tea
Have we been drinking tea for 500,000 years...
Some archeologists tell us that there is evidence that tea has been consumed by humans for nearly a half million years. Evidence is sketchy though -- what we do know is this -- more and more researchers are becoming convinced of the health benefits associated with green tea. Many studies have found green tea instrumental in the reduction of cardiovascular disease, including reducing the risk of stroke, and in lowering high blood pressure and cholesterol. Still other studies indicate that green tea reduces the risk of blood clots and even acts to help flush cancer causing free radicals from the body. Stress relief, liver protection, and heightening of the body's immune system have all been linked to green tea. Still others insist that regular consumption of green tea, in conjunction with regular exercise, has helped them to loose weight.
We have another reason yet for drinking green tea: "It tastes good." Whatever your reason for drinking green tea may be, we are glad that you are here. We offer some fine teas at great prices. Brewing instructions are noted with all of our teas, but especially when brewing green tea we caution you not to use boiling water when brewing your tea. A water temperature of about 170 degrees F. is perfect.
